Welcoming Matt McHenry to the FMK Hospitality Group Family!

We are thrilled to introduce Matt McHenry, our new Director of Team Member Experience & Community Relations at FMK Hospitality Group!
Matt joined the FMK team a couple of months ago, bringing a unique blend of professional expertise and genuine passion for people that perfectly aligns with our mission to deliver genuine hospitality to every guest and team member.
A diehard Phillies and Eagles fan from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Matt has called Florida home after being drawn to The Villages area by family, the excellent education opportunities at The Villages Charter School for his children, and the thriving community of Middleton.
What might surprise many about Matt is his extensive background in law enforcement, where he specialized in complex investigations – skills that undoubtedly sharpen his ability to foster strong teams and meaningful relationships.
After visiting his parents in The Villages for over a decade, Matt was consistently impressed by FMK's culture of excellence and the infectious positive energy of our team members. "The sincere and genuine hospitality displayed is authentic," Matt shares. "Teamwork and leadership are encouraged, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude at the core of success."
In his role, Matt is focused on enhancing the team member experience while strengthening our ties to the community. He highlights FMK's unwavering commitment to residents and partners: "Ownership has gone above and beyond supporting important causes without hesitation, and guest satisfaction is always the primary goal."
What Matt loves most about his job? "The ability to aid others in obtaining their goals, both personally and professionally, while building relationships within the community." He’s grateful for the trust FMK leadership has placed in his skills, providing the support and responsibilities that fuel his motivation.
Outside of work, Matt cherishes time with his wife of 13 years and their two children – a 10-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son, both deeply involved in sports and school activities. "The most rewarding thing in life is watching my children take on challenges, compete, and develop into good people," he says.
Matt's career goals reflect his servant-leadership mindset: to be an asset to his team, make a positive impact on lives within the company and community, and continue growing with FMK.
